Career & Life Coaching in English for female junior scientists at HHU

The Central Equal Opportunities Officer extends 1:1 coaching sessions by a professional coach to HHU's female PhD students and postdocs. Coaching supports the participants in identifying their own career goal as well as in developing strategies to overcome potential challenges on their career path. The coaching sessions can be held in English. The Central Equal Opportunities Officer funds a limited number of spots of three 90-minute sessions per person.

(Important: Excluded from this offer are women working/enrolled at the Medical Faculty and women who belong to an SFB or a GRK. These research groups usually have equal opportunity funds which can be used for the advancement of women.)

Career-related topics can be discussed and solutions for challenges and/or uncertainties about a future career path can be worked out together in the coaching sessions. Coaching is also an option if you are at a professional crossroads and need guidance. The coach looks at the issues together with the coachee in a concrete and methodical way. The coaching provides new perspectives using special tools and focusses on the personal goal at all times.

In Career & Life Coaching, the coach supports you with selected methods, tools and questions to see your situation from different perspectives, gain clarity and develop a new outlook. That is, the coach creates the process while you remain the expert on your subject. By doing so you jointly develop solutions that cater to your personal and professional needs.

Coaching is only offered in an online format.
